Mike Currie is a seasoned Travel Specialist in the both International Leisure and Expedition Travel fields. President and co-owner of Shangri-La World Travel, a boutique, luxury travel agency specializing in customized luxury travel. The agency was previously a cruise only specialty store called Cruise Holidays of Southlake. Currently in it’s 14th year of operation. The Currie’s Southlake store is a ten time winner of President’s Circle, signifying a Top 20 store among the 300 North American units. Also an avid sailor Captain, Mike is the one to speak to for Bareboat charter sailing and Exhibition cruising.
Mike's corporate travel experience spans 30 years, mostly with airlines and airline caterers. He retired from LSG Sky Chefs in 2005, as Global Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He is an accomplished writer of travel articles for national and Texas publications. His world travels have currently included 91 countries on 6 continents. He is currently writing a book called Traveling Smart – In the 2nd Half of life.
